Sorry, But Our Princess is in Another Castle.
All my family and close friends know that I’m a person that doesn’t look for easy ways. Today’s quest proved this rule.
I have two cats, and a bough-pot with lovely Haworthia named Yuki-kun. These representatives of animal and floral life don’t mix well: the cats constantly try to eat Yuki-kun or dig him out of his pot. I have to put Yuki-kun on one of my bookcases, but there he doesn’t receive enough sunlight. Yuki-kun, being a succulent, is quite tough, but still, two curious cats and lack of sunlight takes its toll on him.
So I decided to fence some place on one of window sills, so the cats won’t be able to reach Yuki-kun. This fence must be quite aesthetically pleasing (my sister’s requirement). And somehow I came upon idea that if I could put the pot with Yuki-kun into small cylindrical bird cage that would be ideal solution! And today I went to the quest. Seven of zoo shops in the city centre. Or maybe more, I didn’t count (my poor feet). All of them had only large cages, though I have to say that shop assistants was making quite funny faces when I was telling them why I need small cylindrical bird cage.
Alas, no aesthetically pleasing fence for Yuki-kun. :( I feel I’ll have to construct the fence from plastic wire mesh that used in gardens.
