Sesame.

The fried sesame is a big success, even bigger than I could suspect. I left a saucer with fresh portion of the sesame on the table overnight and this morning I found out that my cats appreciated it as well! Especially Fili, yesterday he was sniffing me very curiously while I was eating porridge with sesame. I don’t know how much they eat or whether they eat it at all but they definitely nosed it closely. The seeds were all over the table. I’m not sure what effect sesame had on them, though my sister said they had a wrestling match on her back around 4 a.m.

(I recalled an episode from one of Gerald Durrell’s books, how they added some seeds to their animals’ ration. But that was aniseed, not sesame.)
